Betterworks is one of the original enterprise goal-management vendors (US, 2013, ~$65M+ raised from Kleiner Perkins and others), now positioned as an HR performance platform where goals, feedback, skills and talent intelligence feed talent decisions. It is aimed squarely at 500+ employee enterprises, with strong compliance (SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001:2022, TX-RAMP L2) and HRIS-grade integrations.

Pricing is quote-only, signaling a heavily negotiated enterprise sales motion. The model is thoroughly top-down with no EU hosting.

Relevant to CHROs modernizing performance management, not to teams adopting OKRs on their own.

Futureworks is a young Norwegian OKR and strategy-execution platform built for Nordic enterprises and the public sector. It sells one plan with every feature included, at transparent per-user pricing that drops with volume (EUR 15 per user at up to 25 users, down to EUR 9 at 101-200; 200+ is custom), billed annually.

The product is leadership-led: strategy cascades from company to department to individual, with a weekly rhythm reinforced by a Meeting Mode that runs check-ins as facilitated meetings and pushes reminders through Slack and Microsoft Teams. It bundles hands-on OKR coaching with every plan and offers an AI Context Engine that turns strategy documents (PowerPoint, Word, PDF) into structured OKRs.

Security basics are covered (GDPR compliance, SSO, SCIM, encryption at rest and in transit), but there is no published SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification and no trust page documenting the hosting region. It is a young, early-stage vendor with marquee Nordic references, still building up an independent review base.

A strong fit for a Nordic enterprise or public body that wants OKR software and coaching in one package, and less suited to a small self-serve team outside the Nordics.

  • Lattice: Create key result
  • Lattice: Okrs dept dashboard
  • Lattice: Okrs objectives status

Lattice is the category-leading HR platform: a $3B-valuation unicorn with ~$328M raised, 5,000+ customers and ~4,100 G2 reviews at 4.7. Goals and OKRs are a module at $8 per seat per month behind a $4,000 annual minimum, sold annual-only with demos rather than trials.

The platform excels at performance reviews, engagement and talent management, with an embedded AI agent, but goal AI is shallow relative to the suite and check-in cadence for goals is not core. A SOC 2 report is available through its trust center, but EU residency is not stated and ISO 27001 is not attained.

The right choice when a people team is buying an HR platform; out of reach and out of scope for a single team that just wants to run OKRs.

  • Profit.co: Okr hero
  • Profit.co: Screen 16
  • Profit.co: Screen 9

Profit.co is the heavyweight of the dedicated category: a bootstrapped US company of 150-250 staff whose platform spans OKRs, performance management, tasks and projects with ~100+ integrations and AI agents for authoring, monitoring and reporting. It carries the strongest compliance stack among dedicated tools (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA) and lets customers choose their hosting region, including the EU.

Momentum is healthy (4.7 on G2 across ~494 reviews) and vendor stability is strong. The trade-off is a full enterprise motion: pricing has moved to contact-sales and onboarding is heavier.

Fits compliance-driven large organizations cascading strategy top-down.

  • WorkBoard: Draft okrs
  • WorkBoard: Scenario planning
  • WorkBoard: Scorecard

WorkBoard is the enterprise consolidator of the category: a US strategy-execution platform (~$140M raised, valued ~$725M in 2021) that acquired Quantive in 2025 and serves Fortune 500 logos like Boeing, Cisco and Capital One. Its pitch is AI-native execution at scale, with purpose-built agents (Chief of Staff, Leadership Coach, Portfolio Analyst) on top of an enterprise knowledge graph spanning strategy, OKRs, portfolios and performance.

Its reach is growing as Quantive's customer base folds in, and it holds SOC 2 Type 2 with deep Jira, Salesforce and Workday integrations. Everything about it is top-down: quote-only pricing, leadership-led rollouts, no self-serve, no EU hosting, plus integration risk while absorbing Quantive.

The default choice for C-suite-driven OKR programs at large enterprises, and the opposite of a team-led tool.
