Viva Goals was Microsoft's OKR product, born from the ~$60M Ally.io acquisition in 2021 and bundled into the Viva suite with native Teams, Entra ID and Graph API integration. Microsoft stopped new development in December 2024 and retired the product entirely on December 31, 2025; the product page now redirects to a retirement notice.
Customers are told to export their data via API, Excel or PowerPoint and move to a solution of their own choice, with no successor recommended. Its relevance to buyers today is purely as a migration source: Microsoft-first organizations that ran OKRs in Teams now need a new home for the practice.
